  • New service hookup with number ported.

    I contacted Winstream communications to begin phone service a week ago. The tec came out did his thing and told me I had a dial tone. For a week now I have been able to call out, but not receive calls. I have had two trouble tickets from Windstream each with a date and time the problem will be corrected. Both dates have passed. Today Todd from Windstream said he and Level 3 created a ticket to have the problem fixed. That happened at 9:30 this morning, it is now 5:55PM, and I still cannot receive calls.   • Windstream Internet

    For five months now I have not had efficient internet service through Windstream. I pay fifty five dollars a month for services and half the time I can't log on or in the middle of a school assignment I get booted off, sometimes for five minutes sometimes an hour. Complain to the office and all you get is they know, they have several complaints, but nothing is fixed!   • Windstream Refused to Port my Phone

    I tried for 3 weeks to get my number ported from Windstream to Charter. They continued to block the transfer even after they said it was cleared up. I was told I would get a final pro-rated bill. I did not. I wrote them asking for one. Still not received.   • Over-charged for bundle package AND slow internet.

    I have a confirmation email FROM WINDSTREAM from when I signed up for the $54.99 bundle service that included DISH top 120 channels and 12 Mbps internet. That was 11 months ago. At least once a month I have called Windstream about these issues.   • This is the most Confused, Unorganized Company!

    I had a business phone line with Windstream. I exercised my "peace of mind" part of the contract, where you are allowed an out, if you break contract and send in a letter to them to advise of a business going out of business( after 14 years with them!) .     Since day one we are having problem with windstream. When the sales person wants your business they will answer your phone right away but currently she never respond to my email or my phone. We had complain with WI-Fi connection it has never been resolve being in a hotel business. We have customer who wants to use internet service all the time.   • Class Action Needed

    e have had trouble of one sort or another for four years. I must first say that the technicians in the field and on the phone are wonderful. These guys are kind, patient, polite, honest and thorough. They have been the ONLY Windstream employees that have demonstrated any level of care and concern and the only ones to be honest with me.   • Lied to again

    It is Feb 28th. Again my internet is not fixed. I have been going round and round with this co. for over 2 yrs. I have contacted the FCC and the Attorney General of Tx and Ak. I have been promised time and again that it will be fixed by a date. Well today is that date and still is not fixed! I am supposed to be getting 12 mgbs I am lucky to get 1-2mgbs.   • Windstream - Rip off Billing

    I took their package deal (Internet Phone) as per their advertised rate 29.99 per month for 12 months. Surprisingly, I received first bill from windstream of over $250 some how after making several calls to their billing department they apologized and reduced my first bill to around $70 and since then I am receiving their bill over $65 associating some bogus charges / taxes.   • Windstream communications - Worst customer service

    Windstream is the WORST company I have EVER dealt with. I have had problems with them from the absolute start. The only thing Winstream has ever done correctly was the website took my information that I submitted. ALL customer service representatives have NEVER solved ANY issue in a timely fashion. I will NEVER use Windstream again, nor will I EVER recommend them to ANYONE.   • bad internet serrvice

    I have had internet service with windstream for about 4 months. My internet connections drops at least a minumum of 5 times a day,somethimes more. I have talked to tech support and they can give me no satisfaction as to why this is happening.     I have had internet service with windstream in the Lancaster,Pa area for about four months,My interenet service drops at least 4 to five times a day. I called tech suport and was told that the drops do not appear on their system.They replaced the modem several times but that did not resolve the problem.   • Business phone not working for TEN days

    My business phone has been down for 10 days. I have called EVERY day (most calls take over 30 minutes due to holds). Each day I am promised help. But no one comes. The service ticket is 06151201480. Calls are almost never returned and one supervisor even left me a phony number as a return number.   • Terrible Service and constant lies.

    Have had Windstream for a few years now. The past several months, the internet speeds have gone so far downhill, that, even though I am paying for 12Mb service, I only get 0.62Mb. Every time I call, or get on their live chat to speak to an analyst, they tell me the same thing - 'There is a latency outage in your area.   • Overcharging after termination of service

    This is my response to the Windstream Customer Feedback Request: I was overcharged for several months a year or two ago by Nuvox, treated rudly by customer serivce and ever since then have waited for the 3 year contract to expire.     Windstream communications has been double billing my two companies for over 3 years and we did not see that they had been charging for both places on both bills.     I called on 8/31/2010 to ask for instructions on how to change callerid name for one of our company phone lines. Larry a Windstream technical support rep stated that changing the name could not be done on site and that it would cost $25 and take 5 days to change a name on an existing phone line. Motivated by the cost factor I logged into our server went to the applicable phone extension and changed the name myself in 15 seconds.     I am writing this review purely out of frustration. I currently have Windstream as my provider of internet and telephone (which I don't even use). I am currently connected to the Internet through a data tethering service offered by my cell phone company because once again I cannot access my internet.     I have been stressed out about Windstream & the treatment I had received from them & so I wrote a complaint. Yesterday I called the company & talked to a very nice refined young woman by the name of Careen who totatlly agreed with me. She was in no hurry to get me off of the phone but talked with me as long as I wanted to talk. Windstream used to have great dsl now we are getting very slow service that is out completely very often. If you call tech support the reps drive you nutty begging for a good survey review, often you give a string of ID then have to start all over with a new rep because you get stuck on hold and sent back to the main menu. Currently waiting for a sat fedex delivery
